Retail Cashier (March 2018-June 2018)

We are looking for cashiers for our 6-month pop-up store. We need someone who has the ability to multitask. Who is great with details and can communicate well with a wide range of personalities. Someone who is self-motivated to perform at their best and continuously deliver the best consumer experience possible.

Reporting to the Store Manager, the Cashier will be responsible for the following:

  • Process and receive payments by cash, check and credit cards
  • Issue receipts, refunds, credits or change due to customers
  • Bag, box, or wrap purchases
  • Greet shoppers as they enter or leave the store
  • Maintain checkout areas that are organized, clean and that give the best possible impression
  • Effectively resolve questions or problems that arise with customers or store staff
  • Answer customers’ questions, provide information on procedures or policies
  • Work to ensure the customer experience is positive

The role is based in Secaucus, NJ.

Specific qualifications we are looking for include:

  • Proven experience in retail cashier or similar type money-handling positions
  • Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment
  • Impeccable communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Attention to detail and mathematical skills
  • A customer-centric mindset, you understand the importance of providing a positive customer experience
  • Knowledge of/familiarity with retail management software and/or point of sale systems
  • High school degree
