Junior Product Manager

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

ROLE:
The Junior Product Manager will assist in optimizing our product offering by best considering all relevant business requirements to provide the best user experience to our customers. You will work to gather requirements, analyze and distinguish between user requests and underlying business needs to create a vision for our products. The success of the products will be dependent on the Junior Product Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Product Manager, the Junior Product Manager will be responsible for the following:

  • Assist in each phase of the product lifecycle, development stages, and quality assurance testing needed to further iterate on our existing products
  • Apply product management best practices to ship products and features that solve real problems for our customers
  • Verify that products are built and delivered to spec with the best experience for the user.
  • Assist in the creation of product roadmaps, MVPs, key metrics, personas, user flows, responsive wireframes, and storyboards
  • Monitor and measure success of launched products and utilize metrics to determine how to optimize products further
  • Understand user needs and current ways of working by gathering and documenting business requirements for all products using interviews, competitor analysis, user surveys, site analytics, use cases, scenarios, task and workflow analysis
  • Articulate the business and technical implications of adding, removing or postponing the development and release of product features
  • Work in SCRUM environment as Product Owner, creating user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Define the way our digital products interact with users in order to make the design and functionality simple and user-friendly
  • Consult with various internal teams including marketing, merchandising and customer service to innovate, define and design new product features

LOCATION:
The role is based in NYC (Times Square).

Specific qualifications we are looking for include:

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, team oriented, agile environment
  • Experience with Balsamiq, Photoshop, InVision, Sketch, Gliffy, InDesign and other design and wireframing software
  • 1-3 years in similar role or completion of relevant bootcamp/accelerated-learning course
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Well organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with changing requirements
  • Ability to coordinate and problem-solve with employees at implementation and management levels
